1 You must be at least 18 years of age 2 You must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language. There are some exceptions to this if you work outside of the United States. See FAR 65.71 for details 3 You must have practical experience working on airframes and powerplants. If your experience is civilian, you must have 18 months of practical experience working on airframes OR powerplants. If you have 30 months of practical experience concurrently working on both airframes and powerplants, then you may qualify for both ratings. See FAR 65.77 for details. |
